California is finally adding jobs. According to recent EDD numbers California added nearly 100,000 jobs in February 2011. This is the greatest monthly increase since 1990. What has state economists especially optimistic is that the increases were spread across several industries including entertainment, travel, transportation as well as professional services such as finance, technology, accounting and engineering. The only area that saw a decrease was the public sector.

Several job boards have reported an increase in job listings as well. Many niche job boards have cited an increase in job listings in many professional disciplines throughout California, such as accounting jobs in San Francisco and Nursing jobs in San Diego have both seen a nice uptick in job listings.

The bottom line this is great news for California.
